For Synternet, May was a month that saw tremendous progress in our goal to become the hub for real-time Web3 data. We've been hard at work building the foundation for a more interconnected and blockchain data economy.
In this month’s update, we'll dive into the Pikes Peak Roadmap, talk about our new collabs with peaq and Injective, and recap our presence on the Cosmos Interchain Jam. With each of these milestones and events, Synternet is pushing itself even further to the forefront of DePIN, DeFi and other core narratives that are already central to the next iteration of Web3.
Here’s everything that went down last month and a sneak peak of what’s coming this very first Synternet Summer.
Major topics include:
- Announcement of the Pikes Peak Roadmap
- Peaq Becomes a Publisher for DePIN Data
- Injective Protocol Data Goes Live via Stakin
- Appearance on the Cosmos Interchain Jam
Scaling New Heights with the Pikes Peak Roadmap
The biggest moment of May was the announcement of Synternet’s Pikes Peak Roadmap. Following our upcoming mainnet launch during the Monaco stage, the Pikes Peak Roadmap outlines the next exciting phase in our journey. Inspired by the renowned mountain race, Pikes Peak symbolizes our drive for excellence and innovation.
Pikes Peak outlines our strategic plans for developments in H2 2024, focusing on improved interoperability, utility, and user experience. Here’s what you can expect:
- Autonomous Economic Agents (AEAs): These cross-chain smart contracts enable complex, event-driven applications that automate actions based on real-time blockchain data. AEAs will significantly enhance blockchain automation and composability.
- Augmented Data Streams: Allows users to customize and adapt data streams to their specific needs. Augmented data streams provide greater flexibility for developers, enabling precise data filtering and manipulation for sophisticated AI models and event-driven applications.
- Data Queries: We're introducing a native caching solution, to make access to on-chain data even easier. This feature will streamline the process of retrieving comprehensive blockchain data, enhancing the utility and depth of analytics for developers.
- Synternet dApp Store: A platform for discovering and accessing dApps built natively on Synternet. The dApp Store will improve discoverability and allow developers to monetize their applications, key facets to expanding the Synternet ecosystem.
Together, these features will significantly improve Synternet's platform and provide developers with the resources they need to create creative, scalable dApps. The Pikes Peak Roadmap details precisely how we plan to push the limits of Web3 data space capabilities after mainnet.
Pikes Peak X Spaces Unpacks the New Roadmap
After the announcement of Pikes Peak, Synternet leadership held a special X Spaces, diving into the details of Pikes Peak and engaging with the community about what to expect after Monaco. The session covered the features to be rolled out post-mainnet launch and how they’ll impact the Web3 data landscape.
Revving up for Monaco and the Impact on Pikes Peak
Ahead of the Pikes Peak roadmap, we also shared a X thread outlining the milestones leading up to our mainnet launch during the Monaco stage. The thread highlights Synternet’s integration with the Cosmos ecosystem, the launch of the Synternet’s token on Cosmos, and the activation of token utility. The thread also discusses the token bridge between Cosmos and Ethereum and how mainnet is setting the stage for a truly decentralized, real-time data economy.
Peaq Publisher Integration Boosts DePIN on Synternet
In May, we welcomed peaq network as a new data publisher on Synternet. Peaq's robust infrastructure for decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN) and Machine Real-World Assets (RWA) will bring valuable real-time data streams to our platform, further enhancing our streaming data ecosystem.
The integration will benefit developers, projects, and enterprises alike. By leveraging peaq’s data streams, users can access precise, real-time information crucial for various applications in sectors like IoT, mobility, and more. peaq streams via Synternet will enable the creation of innovative, data-driven solutions in DePIN and beyond.
Injective Protocol Integration for Live Data in DeFi
In other collaboration news, Synternet integrated Injective Protocol's data, published by Stakin. It's one of the biggest steps in bringing live data tooling to DeFi, providing developers with access to real-time blockchain data from Injective, one of the fastest-growing DeFi ecosystems. DeFi dApps will benefit from Injective streams, as developers can now create more responsive and effective DeFi solutions.
Things like sophisticated financial analytics and automated trading systems can now be created utilizing real-time data from Injective. Synternet CTO Jonas Simanavicius was also joined by Achilleas Kal from Injective on a special X Space, diving into the integration and fielding questions for both the Synternet and Injective communities.
Synternet Bridges the Data Gap on Interchain with KYVE
May also saw Synternet make an appearance on the Cosmos Interchain Jam Session along with KYVE. The X Space dove into the importance of data interoperability and integration within Web3, focusing on both real-time and historical blockchain data.
Key discussion points included how Synternet facilitates data exchange across different blockchain networks to improve efficiency and performance of dApps and KYVE's role in providing reliable data streams via integration with Synternet’s infrastructure.
Synternet CTO, Jonas Simanavicius, and KYVE’s Co-Founder, Fabian Riewe, joined Robb Stack from the Interchain Foundation in a comprehensive X Spaces event to discuss the merger of live and archived data while also addressing and answering community questions. Overall, the Interchain Jam Session was a boost in visibility and thought leadership within the Cosmos ecosystem.
Synternet Summer Looks Bright
There was no maybe about May, as Synternet made a definitive impact this past month. We announced the Pikes Peak Roadmap, integrated Peaq and Injective as new data publishers, and made waves in Cosmos on the Interchain alongside KYVE. And with mainnet right around the corner, June is set to be an even more scintillating month for Synternet.
